The Furrow

Worship in Place, 2020

May 17, 2020 was to have been the official launch of The Furrow.  The social constraints necessitated by Covid-19 prevent us from gathering as we had intended.  Hopefully, we will be in a different place by the 3rd Sunday of July, and we can safely and joyfully gather together.

In the meantime, download the "Worship in Place" worship guide for use in your own space.
Then,
we invite you to share some of your reflections by clicking on the button below.

We will look forward to hearing about your experiences.

Find blessing in the movement of God's Spirit in the midst of this day,
in your particular place,
And all places.

Picture"I sat down on a rock and realized that so often I take pictures of people or nature, but in this moment I realized that I was right there...I am part of it." ---Hannah, age 16

“Reflective and helpful. Thank you.”
---Jerry and Gladys

"The edges of which I'm mostly aware are imposed - mow lines, plowed paths/beds; fence lines. And what I observe is the determination of the natural growth to overcome the imposition - weeds edging back over the garden bed; grasses growing back up through fences. Even more mindful of the imposed edges I relationally, socially impose, nature teaches me how shortsighted and futile are such arbitrary divisions." ---Tim

"My furrow image. Rich, wet topsoil with several wormholes that reminds me how much life is going on beneath me." ---Andy

"Today was cold, dreary and wet. When I saw the clover, I thought, even in the harshest of times the littlest things can survive." ---Dean, age 8

"I spotted a lily of the valley poking through a stone retaining wall, and it made me realize that so often boundaries are created by ourselves. Perhaps God's purpose for creation is to push pass these self imposed edges and to reach for growth." ---Sarah

"From death comes new life...I saw a tunnel. On the inside of the tunnel it is all dark, but at the very end you can see the light. On the other side of the tunnel there was more life." ---Grace, age 16
