The Furrow

Worship in Place for July

Like many parts of the country, Iowa is going backwards; cases of COVID-19 are increasing.  Polk and Warren Counties are on the high side of these numbers.

Therefore, we are delaying yet again the launch of The Furrow for another month, and look forward to August 16 when prudent caution might possibly relax and make such gatherings safe.

In the meantime, take advantage of this new edition of “Worship in Place” design to facilitate a Furrow-like experience at home.

Be well.  Stay safe.  Get outside and stand in awe.

Participant Reflections

"Upon starting a new flower bed, we had used our homemade compost to supplement the soil. The new bed sat empty, but I recruited the kids to help pick out rocks from the newly turned soil. Grace came upon what, at first glance, seemed like a chunk of wood or newspaper. After taking a minute to brush off the dirt and examine it, she found that it was actually a pineapple bottom that had been rotting in the compost of several weeks. We were all astonished to find that it had several tiny, bright green leaves sprouting from its center. She rescued it and replanted it...even researching how pineapples grow best." --The Pratt Family
